Catching Up...

Our niece, Samantha(or Baby Anta, as Annie says) was blessed about a month ago. She looked beautiful in her dress and was so cooperative. She never made a peep and Curt gave her a beautiful blessing! We enjoyed going over to their new home afterwards for some yummy food and dessert! We are so happy to have Samantha part of our family, she is such a sweetheart and so adorable!(Thanks for letting us steal these pic's off your blog, mom...my camera was dead so I'm glad you got some good pic's!)

London's dance recital

London looked adorable and did such a great job!!! I wasn't sure how we were going to get through 30 plus dances with Anaston but she surprised me! She was SO into the dancing, she just sat on my mom's lap and watched each dance and as soon as it was over would ask,"Is another one coming?!?" (with high hopes) By the last few dances, she was in the aisle copying every move on stage and dancing herself. It was the cutest thing you"ve ever seen! Everyone was watching her insteas of the stage! ha ha We"re now looking into lessons:)
This last week I've had the privilege of helping with my sister and JaNae and her girls for the majority of each day. My sis is really sick and has some scary medical things going on so with my mom being gone I have got to help alot with taking care of her, taking her to doc appts, entertaining her girls, taking care of my parents house, etc. Although I wish JaNae were doing alot better, the plus out of this is how much I get to see them!:)

Lunch dates, swimming, going out for ice cream, watching movies and having popcorn, bath time, talking with JaNae...it's all been fun! And my parents ward has been bringing in dinner each night which has been great!!!
Larry FHE at Vanessa's. I wasn't planning on having Annie swim since she had just come from swimming for hours and had a bath but it just looked too fun to her so they let her borrow a swim vest and Papa and Grandma took her for a swim! She loved doing her monkey walk of course and jumping off the side. They have a rock slide she went under with Grandma too and would yell and listen to the echo. Although we were all mourning the loss of Stitchy, it was nice to get around a crowd of friends and family and just hang out.

We took a trip up to the mountains to stay in Torreon with my in laws and Nat and Tommy. It was a fun, relaxing weekend with good company. It was fun to stay together as a fam in such a nice cabin(Thanks Ryan and Julie) and also see so much family up there(Jennings fam members as well as Grandma and Grandpa Knight). From BBQ at Debbie's, firepit making s'mores and listening to Uncle Terry put on a show(ha ha), swimming at the clubhouse, nature walks where Annie loved collectiong rocks and Brian collecting golf balls off the golf course, 4th of July Parade, fireworks on the golf course, yummy food and desserts, fun games, etc. we loved having a weekend away and retreat to some much cooler weather! Thanks to my in laws for making it all possible! My mother in law spoiled us with yummy food for every meal so thanks for that too!:) We hope to do it again!

Anaston really enjoyed the firework show on the golf course. Papa handed out huge green glow sticks to all the kids and they were all down on the course doing what looked like a light saver fight but really just playing waiting for the show to start. Then Annie just loved watching...especially cuz we werent too close, but close enough so it wasnt loud. She sat with Grandma, Debbie and Terry the majority of the time and loved it! She loved pointing out all the green and blue fireworks, her favorite colors. They put on a good show! Lots of new, neat fireworks! Anaston put on quite a show after when we had ice cream and was telling story after story, singing and telling jokes...followed by cracking herself and everybody up. It was hilarious! I got a great video of it!

Anaston kept rolling all around...she loved the hills on the golf course and how she could roll down. Only once she tried rolling when we were in our seats, she was running into people! Especially Nanny and Tommy! ha ha

They did a neat 4th of July parade for the kids in the morning and man, they go all out up there! We were some of the only people watching, since almost everyone participates. Anaston loved looking at everything and waving at the people going by...and of course collecting candy!:)

Brian and I celebrated our anniversary and it was a wonderful day! We went and met him for lunch at work. Anaston and I then went to Target to find him a good card. I got everything written down that I wanted to say and put it on his pillow. I thought we weren't doing gifts this year with some recent not so fun things that have come up and drained the bank account so I thought my card was fine. Then Brian comes walking in from work and gets changed quickly so we can go to dinner wiht my parents and I walk out to find two dozen, long stemmed roses arranged beautifully in a vase that he had delivered to me with the sweetest note on them. Being emotional and pregnant I broke into tears of joy. It was so sweet and took my breath away. We joined my family for dinner at Rubio's and then my Dad treated us all to gelato afterwards. It was sooo delicious! We had a great day! I'm so greatful for my marriage with Brian and all that has come our way so far, good and bad...we've learned from it and become stronger and happier because of it. Thank you for such a beautiful daughter and another one to be here in a month!Happy Anniversary Bri, love ya!

Daddy's Birthday Dinner at my parents. With my brother in law's birthday. Brian's birthday and Father's Day all being so close. Brian didn't get his birthday dinner at my parents till a little late but better late than never! The food was yummy and it was nice to see everyone that could come and support Bri. He got some nice gifts from everyone. Thanks mom and everyone!

Firework Show at Rose Mofford with Daddy. Brian had a tournament out in Phoenix the weekend before 4th of July. They were having a firework show at the end of the night so we came to enjoy them. They had Buddy the Bear walking around to promote safe swimming and was passing out stickers. Anaston was in love with him and kept following him around and giving him fives and hugs. They passed out a bunch of yummy popsicles and drinks and also had a bunch of neat glow in the dark accessories, which Annie died over the light up passy. The fireworks were great...Anaston was a little hesitant at first over the noise since they were right over our head but got over it and loved them!

Went and saw UP-3D with my mom, JaNae and the girls. My mom treated us all to the date to the movies and a delicious dinner at Johhny Rockets. She then went to Childrens Place and bought them a new outfit freom the Monster Sale!:) Thanks mom, that was so much fun and so nice of you! My mom decided she wanted to do some fun dates with the girls this summer and this was our second date! Loved it and can't wait to do it again!

The Return of Mesquite Groves...Last summer we had a tradition of meeting JaNae and the girls here once a week followed by Port of Subs for dinner. We loved it so much we started it again this summer. We went a little early I think and the water was a bit too cold but the girls still had fun in the Splash Pad and Car Wash part of it where the water was warmer. The funniest thing is they had their most fun at the end in the showers. The water was warm and they were going nuts, well mainly my daughter. She is quite the entertainer whenever she's arond. The pic's of them in the shower are priceless!

The girls all wanted to ride in my car to Port of Subs so I gladly took them in and JaNae got a few minutes of peace and quiet. Brooklyn was in the from with me and they got pretty crazy to the music and singing nursery rhymes with Annie.
