Cute little Maddy
The ride up to snowflake, Anaston being so fun and adorable as always
We went up to Pinetop for Labor Day weekend seeing that Brian had a softball tournament there so hey, an excuse for a vacation right? We got there Friday night and stayed with our really good friends Clay, Heidi and their daughter Maddy in Clay's family cabin. Chad stayed the night as well so he could participate in some intense Nintendo with the boys. We played an intense game of cards to wrap up the night. Saturday they played alot of ball. For lunch we met up with Grandma and Grandpa Knight and Great Grandma and Grandpa Knight at the sweet corn festival. There were alot of neat things to see and the sweet corn and Navajo taco's that Heidi and I ate were to die for! Some good home cookin! Anaston had so much fun playin with all the family! Saturday night was freaky as a huge storm quickly rolled in and struck what at the time we thought was the house we were in but ended up being a tree and power lines just outside about 15 feet. It was the freakiest thing! The loudest noise went off and the power flickered. Poor Maddy, a 3 year old, had the front seat from the balcony while she was cleaning up her toys...scared her to death! Luckily everyone was ok. Sunday we just relaxed. Nat and Tommy came over to get in on the card games. What can I say, we love Phase 10! Whenever we get together with Clay and Heidi that's just something we do, we love it! Monday the boys won their tournament, a great accomplishment and Brian was MVP! He recieved a really nice bat for that!!! Not to brag but he played AMAZING! Alot of great plays in the outfield, lots of homeruns and a few grand slams, one which won the game! Way to go Brian! Speaking of homeruns, a guy on the opposing team in the last game hit a homerun which landed directly on Brian's dad's windshield and shattered it on the drivers side! We thought they had the perfect parking spot till then! Papa had to drive the whole way home like that!(Holiday=nothing open)We had a fun ride home with Clay, Heidi and Maddy. Maddy and Anaston had so much fun together watching their DVD"S, talking and laughing. The night ended a little crazy. Clay and Heidi discovered they lost their house key and were locked out! Long story short, Clay kicked in a window, shattering the glass, it was hilarious! Hey, when a pregnant girls gotta go(Heidi), she's gotta go! (We found the keys the next morning)
