A Day To Remember

Today was the sixth anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. I always have a hard time on this day every year thinking of our country and all those innocent people that were taken that day. My heart goes out to all the families who lost loved ones, whether it was people in the towers, the pentagon, firefighters, the aircraft used for the attacks, etc. This day changed our country forever and alot of you might think I'm crazy for saying this but it's my own opinion and this is my blog so I can say it... my heart goes out to our President, George Bush Jr. I can't imagine the weight on his shoulders and am so thankful for all he does for us and this entire world!

Grandparents Day

Sunday was Grandparents Day. Lucky for me, I was watching Disney Sunday morning with Anaton and heard them announce it. Good thing or I would have never known! Anaston got to spend time with both sets of her Grandparents on Sunday and had so much fun with them, as always. We are so greatful for Grandma and Grandpa McLelland(my parents) and Grandma and Papa Knight(Brian's parents) and all they do for our sweet daughter. She adores each one of them and they mean the world to our family! We're so fortunate to have Anaston grow up with them by her side each day. While on the subject, Brian and I are so greatful for our own Grandparents and love them with all our heart! G&G McLelland, G&G Lindorff, G&G Knight, and G&G Jennings. Grandparents are simply the best!

Our newest photo shoot!

Posey and I got together the other day to take some pic's of Anaston for my mom's birthday. Posey's mom bought her some boa's to use as props and she was dying for Anaston to come model them for her! Anad what a perfect model she was! We took these pic's on her balcony, for best lighting and at one point Anaston lost her balance while standing, proped up by a chair. Being a mom and just going with my first instinct, I dove across the floor barefoot to catch her. She ended up totally fine, thank goodness. As for me, horribly skinned the top of my foot, so bad you can see my bone! A little graffic, I know. I'll spare you the pic's. It freaked Posey out. Gotta do what you gotta do though...it's my job to protect my littl girl. And the pictures came out so darn cute, well worth the fall! Here's a few, we haven't really edited most of them yet but they're still so cute!

Just a little update

Since I'm using this for journaling, I need to be better about filling you in on what the latest is with Anaston...what she can do, etc. Well, she's still at the top of the charts, we've got a tall one on our hands(lucky girl). She is 19.5 pounds. She's still as always is way ahead of herself and so smart! She's so happy, loves to laugh and smile and fun to be with. She is so loving, gives the best hugs and kisses, loves to cuddle and take naps!(Hooray for me!)She's always been a great sleeper(sleeping through the night pretty much by 3 weeks)She's just the best baby and always has been. She's so accomodating! Still nursing...go me! ha ha. Right now she's got her two bottom teeth and the last couple days I think she's either working on the next tooth or having ANOTHER growth spurt! She's crawling so fast! Man that girl can spot something across the room and in no time have gotten to it. She's pulling up on anything she can and can stand a few seconds all by herself! She'll walk if you hold her hands. She's still in her waving phase. She waves at everyone, it just melts your heart. She's still stuck on the clapping thing as well and claps whenever she does something and is proud of herself or when she gets really excited. She'll give you a five, or a high five, daddy and his friends love that one! She says mama, dada, nana, and a bunch of other sounds and words in her own language. She will just go off forever blabbing, she'll be talking in no time! he loves to hear her voice. She's got lots of blonde hair. Her eyes are a gorgous dark blue. She's been eating finger foods and loves them! She loves watching The Baby Einstein Videos, Doodlebops, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and a few others. Loves toys and swimming. She grabs her big basket of toys, pulls up on it or tips it over and loves taking each toy out one by one. I could go on and on. We can get her hair in a pony tail and she is always dressed so cute!(she gets the comment very often from family, extended family and friends that she's the best dressed baby they've ever seen...wow, quite the compliment!) She's just the cutest little girl and so much fun! She is our life and we love her with all our heart!

Mom's Birthday!!!

Today was my mom's birthday and unfortunately my dad had to be outta town so we decided to all get together tonight and spend the time with her so she could have the wonderful birthday she deserves. My mom loves loves loves IN-N-OUT so we went there for dinner then a bunch of the group went to As You Wish to paint pottery(another thing my mom loves to do) and then we met up for yogurt. It was so much fun. I love getting together with family and also watching Anaston interact with everyone. They all adore her and she adores them. We had a great time mom, thank you and we love you!

Date night with the kids

The other night we went out with Ben and Posey to the batting cages and Bahama Bucks for a little treat afterwards. We had so much fun! Yes, me and Posey hit and actually we did pretty dang good! Brian and Ben of course had fun and hit quite a bit. Vance had fun carrying aroud the bat and pretending to play. And Anaston and Brogan had fun just hangin out with eachother and watching us. They loved pulling up on the fence and talking baby talk back and forth.

Mall experiences

We took a couple trips to the mall this week. Once to spend time with Grandma, JaNae and London and the other to go visit Jade. Anaston rode the carousel with London. Loved it for the first half, then got a little freaked out which really took me by surprise. Anaston isn't afraid of much! Maybe now that she's getting older she's realizing what's going on more. Then when we visited Jade, her and all the girls working always die over Anaston and love just watching her and playing with her. We had too much fun as you can see. Jade put a clean diaper on her head. We were cracking up and Anaston was too, she knew she was being so funny. She has the cutest sense of humor. My mom thinks that picture makes her look like a quaker! ha ha

We went up to Pinetop for Labor Day weekend seeing that Brian had a softball tournament there so hey, an excuse for a vacation right? We got there Friday night and stayed with our really good friends Clay, Heidi and their daughter Maddy in Clay's family cabin. Chad stayed the night as well so he could participate in some intense Nintendo with the boys. We played an intense game of cards to wrap up the night. Saturday they played alot of ball. For lunch we met up with Grandma and Grandpa Knight and Great Grandma and Grandpa Knight at the sweet corn festival. There were alot of neat things to see and the sweet corn and Navajo taco's that Heidi and I ate were to die for! Some good home cookin! Anaston had so much fun playin with all the family! Saturday night was freaky as a huge storm quickly rolled in and struck what at the time we thought was the house we were in but ended up being a tree and power lines just outside about 15 feet. It was the freakiest thing! The loudest noise went off and the power flickered. Poor Maddy, a 3 year old, had the front seat from the balcony while she was cleaning up her toys...scared her to death! Luckily everyone was ok. Sunday we just relaxed. Nat and Tommy came over to get in on the card games. What can I say, we love Phase 10! Whenever we get together with Clay and Heidi that's just something we do, we love it! Monday the boys won their tournament, a great accomplishment and Brian was MVP! He recieved a really nice bat for that!!! Not to brag but he played AMAZING! Alot of great plays in the outfield, lots of homeruns and a few grand slams, one which won the game! Way to go Brian! Speaking of homeruns, a guy on the opposing team in the last game hit a homerun which landed directly on Brian's dad's windshield and shattered it on the drivers side! We thought they had the perfect parking spot till then! Papa had to drive the whole way home like that!(Holiday=nothing open)We had a fun ride home with Clay, Heidi and Maddy. Maddy and Anaston had so much fun together watching their DVD"S, talking and laughing. The night ended a little crazy. Clay and Heidi discovered they lost their house key and were locked out! Long story short, Clay kicked in a window, shattering the glass, it was hilarious! Hey, when a pregnant girls gotta go(Heidi), she's gotta go! (We found the keys the next morning)
