My Wonderful Mother's Day

My Mother's Day was great this year! Annie was so sweet when she got me up in the morning and remembered what we told her about Mother's Day the night before and said,"Happy Mother's Day, Mommy!"...with a big, sweet kiss at the side of my bed. Ok first minute of Mother's Day and I already got the best present!:) Then Brian got up and took us to Iowa Cafe...my ultimate favorite. My favorite meal is breakfast...I could have it at any time of day! This place is this small kinda small town feeling place (you know those are always the best) out here in Mesa that's been around forever and very famous for their yummy breakfast and homemade pies! It was my only request and hubby came through!!! I enjoyed every single bit of my favorite...none other than french toast! When we walked in, the sweet waitress took Annie with her into the back room and they came out with Annie holding a gorgeous long stemmed red rose for Mommy!:) It was so sweet! They were honoring all mother's so well there, it was the perfect place to go! We had alot of fun at breakfast, Anaston was quite entertaining...not only for us, but the waitress and people around us too. Anaston loves to order her own meals now, we get in trouble if we do it for her. It's so dang funny! And she always calls the waitress or waitor man or lady so it goes a little something like this,"Um lady?..I want toast, eggies and juice. Thank you!" ha ha We came home and relaxed for the majority of the day...something each mom needs for change! Brian did some projects for me around the house and then gave me the sweetest present. Anaston and him had spent some alone time together the night before and asked me to leave for a bit while they made a molding of her sweet little hand, that I can hang up on my wall! It was so sweet and actually crazy because it wasn't even a week earlier I saw something like that and mentioned to my mom that would be all I want for Mother's Day! Well, turns out they did NOT even talk about, Brian's just creative and sweet! We went over to my mom's for dinner. Jade and Jaymee prepared an amazing and delicious dinner for the mom's. Everyone joined, which made it even better! Everything was set up so pretty! Jade put alot of thought and time into that! Jade had each of us pick either a main dish, side dish, etc. My mom chose the main dish and JaNae and I chose side dishes. They suprised me with the salad I absolutely went NUTS over at Jordan's basketball banquet this year! Then they brought out an amazing Amy Koe cake!(I'm not sure on the spelling) Her cakes are very different...very abstract and just amazing! You've never seen anything like it! This particular one looked like a sheet had been tossed on top! I have never seen anyting close to how incredible this was! So unique! Pictures don't even do it justice! And the inside was to die for! White cake with white chocolate frosting and blackberry jelly stuff or whatever. My mom and dad treated me with a new cookbook that is AMAZING and a Nordstrom gift card!!! JaNae was sweet and gave me some yummy candles and freshners and my sweet brother(yes, those two words can go together) gave me a gift card for a shopping spree! Wow! I got spoiled! It was such a fun day and night! I am so greatful to be a mom! It is the best job in the world and I am honored to be able to be a mother and that Heavenly Father entrusts in me with such an amazing spirit like Annie's and baby's! The job of being a mom can be hard at times but it's worth every second! The rewards are so much greater! I love Anaston with all my heart and know I will love this next baby just as much! I'm greatful for Brian standing behind me as a mom and working hard so I can be a stay at home mom with our sweet little angel. I love my own mom. She is an incredible person to look up to. She leads the perfect example, teaches so many great things and has the answer to everything! I am so greatful to have a mom that was able to stay at home with us and is so loving and caring and her kids are her world! She makes us all feel like gold and we have always known and seen the incredible love she has for us! I have amazing grandma's, a mother in law, sister and sister in laws, cousins, aunts, friends, etc. that are amazing mom's as well and all deserve a shout out! Anaston and I put together these photo albums for her grandma's that were voice activated. She left sweet little recordings for each and we write things about each of them that Annie told me to write, as well as cute little pic's. They turned out so cute! Brian and Annie gave me the sweetest card at the end of the night...that's my favorite part! The book I have pictured at the top, I found at Barnes and Noble and encourage every mom to read or purchase. I was prompted to pick it up and the entire time I'm reading it, I'm thinking this is so me and Annie! It was pretty emotional for me, I had to buy it and it is such a special book!

Baby Girls Galore!

The babies...baby girls, to be specific are just flying out in this family right now! Brian's twin sister Stephanie had her little Samantha in April. Now we're in May and his sister Kim gave birth to Kamri on the night of Jade's reception and also the same day their family lost a very dear friend, Joey Mortensen. With all the craziness going on with the wedding, family in town, etc. we didn't get the chance to meet Kamri at the hospital. So we went out to their house on Monday to see her instead. It was fun. We got to each have some one on one time with holding her and Annie even helped her a couple times and was really sweet with her. I don't think she looks anything like her older sister, Kinsley. Their both adorable in their own ways! She's long, skinny, light hair and looks more like a Knight! Congrats Kim and J! Then yesterday we were at B's parents and Baby Samantha was there. We hadn't seen her in a month! I can't believe how quick they change! She already is so much bigger and older looking compared to Kamri and they're only 5-6 weeks apart. She is sure cute! She has this one dimple on one cheek and now that she's smiling, she shows it off and I love it! Brian was getting her to smile quite a bit, it was so cute to watch. We both got to hold her again. I loved it!

Now for the next girl...that's me! Our little girl is the next one coming! Time is flying and she'll be here in under three months! I went to the doc yesterday and things are looking better so far, for right now. I did my glucose screening and am still waiting for the results. I got my Rhogam shot again. I'm measuring fine...a little smaller than with Annie but I'm not complaining! Her heart beat was nice and strong. Anni got to come with me and when he listened to the heart beat, she ran over to me and said mommy, what's that noisy? I explained to her it was the Baby's heart and we could hear her moving around in there and she thought that was pretty neat:) I'm not passing out anymore. She's alot more active now which is good...I know she's ok. She's still pretty high. I'm not showing as fast and I'm not swollen! Woo hoo! Last time at this point I was already swelling due to my toxemia. So keep your fingers crossed! I'm feeling really good except the usual...a little tired here and there, a little un comfortable at times trying to sleep, sometimes a little achy, randomly some slight heart burn but NOTHING like last time where I lived off tums every single night!, hungry and thirsty often and a coupke days ago the random bloody nose but nothing serious...just pregnant! We are so excited to meet this little girl! My next appointment I get my 3-D pictures done of her. I can't wait! We did it with Annie and she looked just like them! Annie and Brian will come watch I'm sure. We are treasuring our time together right now but are excited to grow as a family of 4!
Brain's sister, Melanie is expecting a girl 3-4 weeks after me. She has three boys and this is it so it's pretty amazing she got her girl and we are all so thrilled! The best part is on her hubby's side there is a curse of the boys...he has all brothers and one sister. Other than that one girl, that's it. She's the princess. They have 17 grand SONS I believe. So #18 will make 17 grand sons and finally a grand daughter!!! That's gotta be some kind of record! Sp Yvette has to pass over the tiara! ha ha We can't wait to meet her! Their boys are adorable and she will be too! I'm suprised the Rojas family hasn't put her on strict bed rest to take care of this little girl! ha ha Mel was hospitalized yesterday for kidney stones while pregnant!!! The poor girl couldn't even have pain killers! She's a champ and pulled through and we're so happy to hear she's feeling better and baby is safe!:)

Jade and Mike's Wedding Reception

Jade's wedding reception was indescrbable. It was absolutely perfect, breath taking, and gorgeous! She had every minor detail nailed! It cooled down and was even breezy for the recepton so it was a perfect night! The food was by FAR the BEST food I've ever had at a wedding reception. Her cake was amazing and tasted amazing too! All of the centerpieces, tables, high tops, lights, torches, the sign in area, candy table, etc. was just perfect! I tried to get some pictures but they don't do it justice! Anaston was a hit! She found friends she recognized from the shower and such and played all night. It was nice. Brian and I got to hang out, talk to people, enjoy the reception, and eat thanks to Annie being the popular item! I had kids coming up to me all night tapping me and saying," Annie's mommy, where's Annie? I want to play with her some more!" Or Keisha's adorable little boy asking her to dance and then kept saying, "I want to dance with you more, Annie!" Thanks to her we really enjoyed ourselves and she obviously had a blast as well! It was definately a party, the dancing looked like alot of fun, and decorating the car was fun too! Jaymee and Haya took major control with writing on the car. I spared you the words, minus the first pic on my blog that I could not leave out!...ha ha Chris, Brian, Brooklyn and a couple nephews of Mike's and cousins of ours did the decorating. Brian's special touch was the pop cans dragging behing like in the movies! Annie and I just had fun watching and assisting! I'm so happy Jade and Mike did it! We're so excited for them! Sorry the pic's are out of order and there's alot of them but hey, this is my last sister's wedding and I wanted to remember everything about this special day!:)

And they're off!(Do not hold these words on the car against me...I didn't write it!!!)

The wedding was such a fun experience! I'm so happy I was able to be such a big part of it and not only be her sister and very involved, but her maid of honor and hair stylist! A couple days before the wedding, a bunch of us went and got pedicures together and it was so much fun to have that one on one time with JAde and talk to her about getting married. She is such a crack up and such a good friend and sister. I'm so happy she ended up with someone so patient, kind and undersatnding like Mike. They will be great for eachother! I'm really glad I go the chance to know his family more. They are really good people! The day after Jade's wedding, after saying byt to most our family, we got to watch Jade and Mike open all their presents and watch their wedding video. It was nice to all be together once more before hih two sisters went back to Cali and Idaho. Thanks for including us in your special day and other occasions! We really enjoyed it and are so happy for you, Mike and Jade! We love you!
